Bruno Belamich and Carlos Rosillo created Bell & Ross in 1992 out of a university project. Its first watches were made in Germany by Sinn, with professional models such as the Space 1 and the Demineur. Chanel took a stake in 1998, and in 2002 the brand broke away from Sinn and moved production to La Chaux-de-Fonds. In 2005 the BR 01 set a round dial in a square case inspired by aircraft instruments, and that shape became its signature.
