Maximilian Büsser founded MB&F in Geneva in July 2005 as a laboratory for watches conceived as three-dimensional machines, created with independent collaborators. The HM1 arrived in 2007, followed in 2011 by the round, classically rooted Legacy Machines. The LM Sequential EVO won the GPHG Aiguille d'Or in 2022. Chanel bought 25% of the company in 2024, and Büsser retains the majority.
