History

Erwin Bernheim founded the company in Switzerland in 1951, according to most sources. Its big break came in 1986, when the Bernheim family obtained a licence from the Swiss Federal Railways to bring to the wrist the station clock Hans Hilfiker designed in 1944. That design, with its red seconds hand shaped like a station master's signal, remains the heart of the range.
